Can you write in 1st person when writing a critical lens essay?

I have to write a critical lens essay, which is an essay where you agree or disagree with a quote. I cannot remember if you are supposed to say “I” when writing this type of essay, (since it is your own opinion,) or if you are supposed to only state the quote as true or untrue.

Writing a novel: How to bring the characters to life?

Im writing my first novel and im not sure wether or not my characters are real enough for readers to identify with and get to know. What are so good hints of either knowing wether they are good characters or ways of making the reader care about them? I have written out little life histories and stuff for them but how do i incorporate it into the story?

How do I fix a problem with CD writing wizard on my PC?

I try to copy something to my CD drive and I see “Welcome to CD writing wizard” then “you have files waiting to be written to the CD. I click on copy files and either get a message to load cd or that it can’t write to the cd. I know the cd’s that I am loading are good. What is wrong?

I am writing a paranormal romance novel, what should i do now?

Am I suppose to try and finish writing the book before seeking a agent or publisher, or should I pitch them my idea first. I have already completed several chapters. Also do I even need a agent or do I just go to a publisher. Also what are some good publishers for paranormal novels in the united states.

And would you know that if I start by writing paranormal with a particular publisher if I have to keep writing that style, or if I can switch to regular romance novels at a later time.
