What is the best way to sell a comic book collection?

I have at least 1000 older comics, mostly from the early 90’s, though there are a few older books. Mostly Marvels (Spidey, X-men, etc), some of the newer companies (Image, Valiant) and a few of DC’s bigger stories from the 90’s. I’ve seen them for sale on E-bay, but don’t want to deal with that. Would a convention be worth looking into? Anyone know of buyers in the Chicaland area.

What was the Garth Ennis (or possibly Warren Ellis) comic with a virtual pop star?

Specifically, it had a black guy narrating using a confessional-type camera, and the pop star eventually became a meme that took over the world. It was put up for free on the web, but I’m not sure what to look for.

Where can i get FRAMES for some of my Comic Books to hand them as ART?

Is there currently a company that sells CGC 9.8 comic book subscriptions like Colossus Comics used to?

As far as I can tell, Colossus Comics is out of business. I am looking to purchase CGC 9.8 subscriptions for several Marvel Comics titles but I am unable to find a company to provide such a service, and buying the individual issues on eBay is unreliable.
