If you could coin a new phrase for unenvolved fathers what would it be?

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

No dead beats. I think that phrase does not capture much except the anger of the mothers. Most women think that a man is no longer a dead beat if they are getting child support. But yet he does not see the kids.
What would be the phrase you would use for them?
I think the man should want to also have something to do with there kid not only paying for them.
No bad language either….well if you do bleep it out.

I just came across a silver Van Buren dollar coin?

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

It’s not gold colored like every other presidential dollar coin I’ve seen. I don’t think it’s real silver because there’s no “S” stamp on it. Is it an error?
I am convinced it’s from the US mint. It is identical in markings, size and weight to a normal golden colored Van Buren dollar. Could it be an error?

If you flip a coin 12 times what is the probability that there will be at least 1 streak of 2 heads in a row?

Monday, October 5th, 2009

I’m not good enough with math to figure out the answer to my question above. However, I read that in 12 flips, there is a 120% probability that there will be at least one streak of two heads coming up. Is that right?
The equation was written like this:

% Probability = ((Number of times heads come up twice in all possible outcomes / Number of possible outcomes) / Number of flips) * 100

In 12 flips, there are 4096 possible combinations (i.e. H T H H T, etc all the way to twelve).

There are 59049 times that you get a streak of two heads inside of the total 4096 possible number of outcomes.

Thus 120% = ((59049 / 4096) / 12) * 100
